Tennis Open Play 🎾

Looking for an easy, affordable way to play more tennis, meet new players, and get some exercise? Join us for Tennis Open Play at Mika’s Tennis Academy!

Our courts are open Monday–Friday from 8:00–10:00 PM for only $10 per player. Come on your own or bring a friend (friend needs to be also registered) — keep players rotating so you get the chance to play with different partners throughout the evening. All players must be registered in our app.

We offer playing groups for levels 3.0–4.5, just like Live Ball, so you can join the courts that best match your level.

How We Play

🎾 OPTION 1 - TRADITIONAL SCORING

Play 4 TOTAL GAMES using regular tennis scoring:

15 • 30 • 40 • GAME

No Deuce: At 40–40, play one deciding point.

After 4 total games:

• 4–0 or 3–1: Round is over.

• 2–2: Play ONE tie-break point to determine the winner.

Then rotate/switch partners.

When players are waiting, please use the 11-point format to keep rotations quick and give everyone a chance to play with different partners.

🎾 OPTION 2 — 11 points

Doubles whenever possible.

• Every rally = 1 point.

• First team to 11 points wins — no need to win by 2.

SERVING: Each player serves 2 points, then switches to their partner. After both partners serve (4 points total), the serve goes to the opposing team.

• Underhand serves are allowed!

You do not need to know how to serve traditionally to participate.

• The goal is to get the ball in play and have fun — all levels are welcome.

Rotation

• Once a team reaches 11, the match is over and players rotate.

• If players are waiting, winners split and two waiting players join.

• If nobody is waiting, the same four can continue, but switch partners.

• Open Play is about mixing, playing, and meeting new people

— it’s not a private court reservation.
