Meet Mika
Mika Sakvarelidze’s journey in tennis started at the age of 5, and from an early age, it was clear that this was more than just a sport—it was a calling. By the age of 10, he had already committed to pursuing tennis at a high level, training in France alongside some of the top players in the world, including Gaël Monfils, Richard Gasquet, Sébastien Grosjean, and Arnaud Clément.
Competing among the top juniors in France, Mika developed not only a high level of technical skill, but also a deep understanding of the discipline, resilience, and mindset that tennis requires.
But what truly defines Mika is not just his experience as a player—it’s his passion for teaching.
For over 12 years, Mika has dedicated his life to coaching players of all ages and levels, from beginners stepping on the court for the first time to high-performance juniors competing at an elite level. His approach goes far beyond technique. Mika believes that tennis is a powerful tool to build confidence, character, and life skills that extend well beyond the court.
Throughout his career, he has personally invested his time and energy into supporting young players, even sponsoring and mentoring students who showed dedication but lacked resources. Several of those students have gone on to play college tennis—something Mika takes pride in not for the results, but for the growth he helped them achieve.
At Mikas Tennis Academy, Mika brings a unique coaching style that blends high-level training with creativity, positivity, and connection. His ability to communicate with players in a simple, relatable way allows every student—whether 5 years old or an adult—to feel confident, capable, and motivated.
For Mika, success isn’t just measured by wins.
It’s measured by the impact he leaves on every player who walks onto the court.
